xPeerient Announces Colorado CIO Advisory Board to Help Modernize the Enterprise Technology Marketplace
Local Chief Information Officers from EchoStar, City of Denver, National CineMedia, The Sports Authority and Square Two Financial to help create a new engagement model between IT executives and solution providers
Denver, CO – November 17, 2010 –
xPeerient, developer of a new IT executive peer networking and solution engagement platform, today announced the formation of its Colorado Advisory Board. The group, which includes five of the leading IT executives in the region, will provide feedback and direction to the company and its efforts to modernize the process of buying and selling enterprise IT solutions to make it more efficient, trust-based and effective for both IT buyers and sellers. The local advisory board includes:
- Mike Marcotte - Global Chief Information Officer, EchoStar Corporation
- Robert Meilen - Senior Vice President and CIO, The Sports Authority, Inc.
- Molly Rauzi - CIO, City of Denver
- Al Rosabal - EVP and CTO, National CineMedia, LLC
- Bill Weeks - Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Square Two Financial
The company
launched earlier this month in partnership with Colorado-based
CXO, LLC, the premier executive networking organization in the region. Colorado was the first in a series of regional rollouts across the U.S. The Colorado Advisory Board will work with xPeerient’s executive team to help guide the company’s efforts to change the way enterprise technology is bought and sold in the region including the expansion of its IT Executive Peer Network and the continued development of its IT Solution Engagement technology platform. The Advisory Board members bring a wealth of experience – both locally and globally.
- Mike Marcotte, the global chief information officer at EchoStar Corporation, oversees the company’s worldwide IT organization which spans from the United States to Madrid, Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, Dubai and Beijing. The company has three branches of service: consumer electronics, satellite technology and direct-to-home TV services. Marcotte is responsible for the IT strategy and operations for all three. Echostar is headquartered outside Denver.
- Robert Meilen is currently the Chief Information Officer, Senior VP of Information Services at Sports Authority, Inc. in Englewood. He is responsible for all information services and technology for the company which operates over 450 full line sporting goods stores in 45 U.S. states. Meilen’s career in IT includes senior executive positions with several leading retailers in the U.S. as well as stints in software development, management consulting and distribution and logistics.
- As CIO for the City and County of Denver, and previously as Deputy CIO, Molly Rauzi has helped transform the way the City provides technology services to its internal and external customers. She served on the Technology Advisory Committee for the Democratic National Convention in 2008 and led the city’s technology support for the convention. Molly also leads the city’s Technology Services agency with its 300 employees and is responsible for developing and executing the City’s technology strategy to serve Denver’s 550,000 citizens.
- Al Rosabal is executive vice president and CTO for National CineMedia LLC, which operates the largest digital in-theater network in North America. Previously, Al was the CTO for the City of Denver, where he led initiatives in IT governance, enterprise architecture, infrastructure optimization, and organizational realignment, and CIO for Douglas County, Colorado. Al’s experience includes executive IT positions with Nextel Communications, a London-based Joint Venture with Ford Motor Company as well as managing programs in the healthcare, energy, and telecomm industries as a consultant with IBM Global Services.
- As senior vice president and CIO for Square Two Financial, William A. (Bill) Weeks has responsibility for all IT operations and systems development within the company. He works to establish systems and strategies that align with and enable profitable revenue growth. Bill joined SquareTwo from Key Equipment Finance, where he most recently served as senior vice president and chief information officer. Before joining Key, Weeks held positions in the IT arena with National City Commercial Capital, the Provident Bank, PCFS Mortgage Resources, and Makino Incorporated.

One is made up of CIO’s from enterprise IT buyers and the other is made up of senior executives from enterprise IT solution providers, representing both manufacturers and channel partners. These groups will play a joint role in advising the company at a national level.
